Keir Starmer: scrap unfair voter ID laws
This election 400,000 people had their right to vote taken away. The new Labour government can make sure it never happens again.
The Conservatives tried to rig elections so that ordinary people across the UK wouldn’t be able to vote against them. Jacob Rees Mogg even admitted it.
Not only are they unfair, Voter ID laws are costly and ineffective. Reversing this policy would save £180,000,000 a decade.
Now the new Labour government can fix this mess with a simple legal amendment.
